Sandrine Schaefer: Research for assignment 5
As I was browsing to find inspirations for my project, I came across Sandrine Schaefer. She is an interdisciplinary artist who works in place-based performance art and interactive installation. Positioning the live encounter as primary and using a site-sensitive approach. I found Sandrine’s art practice very captivating because it is social and collaborative. Her artwork significantly challenges conventional ways of viewing art by using repetition, long duration, and strategies that reward curious viewers with multi-sensory ideals.
Because I wish to use a rug in my scene, I thought this would be a very interesting supporting piece to my work. I will definitely be keeping Sandrine Schaefer in mind while I conduct my work for assignment 5.
